About the Role
Build skills in sales and trading at the heart of global financial markets.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure and rotate between Sales and Trading desks, observing their collaboration to help clients succeed.
- Work around market hours, with peak activity often at market open and close.
- Analyze market trends, identify patterns, collect and present data, and contribute to reports.
- Support client pitches and maintain trading and sales performance records.
- Contribute to projects that strengthen client relationships and trading strategies.
- Support client portfolios with Trading and Sales teams, learning about key asset classes.
- Build tools and finance models using Excel, VBA, or Python to support trading and sales activity.
- Utilize industry platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and HSBC's internal tools.
- Build a strong foundation in financial products and their applications.
- Manage risk and profitability while assisting clients in making informed decisions.
Requirements
- Must be available to work full-time for 2 years commencing July 2027.
- Must have completed studies by July 2027.
- Must have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent).
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the USA for the full duration of the graduate programme and beyond, without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship.
