About the Role
Develop and evaluate cutting-edge custom LSIs for PlayStation products, contributing to the future of entertainment technology. You will be involved in specification, design, verification, and mass production support, working with global partners on advanced architectures and semiconductor processes.
Responsibilities
- Determine LSI specifications by understanding the needs of product planning, hardware, software, and game developers, envisioning the best LSI for future performance and cost.
- Engage in joint design and development with LSI vendors.
- Verify prototype chips to ensure they meet desired functions and performance.
- Support mass production.
- Understand hardware at a low level, including cache, memory, and bus, and approach logically for specification and verification.
- Perform programming in C/C++ for LSI verification and evaluation.
Requirements
- Experience creating device control and test code using C/C++, and actual test operation.
- Experience in low-level development and optimization using assembly language or intrinsics (or equivalent knowledge).
- Leadership and organizational contribution awareness, with experience in tech lead, team lead, or equivalent technical leadership.
- Ability to read English technical specifications and conduct business email correspondence in English.
