About the Role
As a Cash Management Sales Specialist, you will be a client-facing sales professional responsible for originating, influencing, and winning treasury mandates across Bank of America's Global Payments Solutions (GPS) franchise. You will leverage deep expertise across payments, receivables, integration/connectivity, and treasury transformation to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and position Bank of America as a strategic treasury partner. The role requires a mandate-first mindset, combining treasury expertise, solution selling, and executive engagement to win new business, deepen existing relationships, and accelerate revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Originate, influence, and win treasury mandates.
- Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth through the successful sale of cash management, payments, and receivables solutions.
- Partner with GPS Sales teams to develop and execute client strategies focused on mandate conversion, wallet expansion, and competitive takeaways.
- Identify, shape, and progress strategic opportunities to successful mandate.
- Engage treasury, finance, and technology stakeholders to position Bank of America as the preferred treasury partner.
- Build client rapport and act as a trusted advisor across complex treasury opportunities spanning transformation, working capital optimization, and payments modernization initiatives.
- Contribute directly to sales performance, pipeline growth, and revenue outcomes.
- Lead treasury solution design and commercial positioning for large, complex, and strategic opportunities for new and existing clients.
- Own the cash management content and strategy for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and competitive tenders.
- Partner with Sales teams to develop compelling value propositions that differentiate Bank of America from competitors.
- Support and deliver client presentations, workshops, and executive discussions that advance opportunities and improve win rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and broaden solution adoption throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide expert consultation on payments, receivables, reporting, and client connectivity solutions.
- Advise clients on ERP, TMS, API, host-to-host, and SWIFT integration strategies that enable treasury transformation and accelerate adoption.
- Translate client business challenges into commercially viable solutions that drive tangible value for clients and revenue opportunities for the bank.
- Support strategic discussions around treasury operating models, digital transformation, and technology enablement.
- Serve as a recognized advisor on treasury best practices, payment innovation, real-time payments, digital transformation, and emerging industry trends.
- Deliver thought leadership and market insights that strengthen client engagement and create new sales opportunities.
- Represent Bank of America at client events, industry forums, and strategic engagements.
- Drive client education and awareness of new capabilities, positioning solutions, sharing market developments, and value-added treasury solutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of competitor capabilities, market dynamics, and FinTech developments to strengthen sales positioning.
- Influence product strategy by bringing market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights into product development discussions.
- Identify commercial opportunities arising from new capabilities, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
- Champion the adoption of strategic solutions that increase client penetration, revenue generation, and franchise growth.
- Act as a market advocate for treasury innovation and commercialization opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven ability to originate, influence, and win complex treasury mandates.
- Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth within a sophisticated, matrixed sales organization.
- Strong commercial acumen with a relentless focus on client acquisition, wallet growth, and sales outcomes.
- Ability to engage and influence senior decision makers across Treasury, Finance, and Technology functions.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and solution-selling skills.
- Deep understanding of cash management, payments, receivables, and treasury solutions.
- Expertise in corporate treasury structures, operating models, and technology ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of client connectivity solutions, including ERP, TMS, API, and SWIFT integrations.
- Understanding of treasury risk, compliance, and fraud management considerations.
- Highly driven, ambitious, and results-oriented sales professional.
