About the Role
Sonos Professional Trainer for EMEA is responsible for delivering educational content to partners in the Professional channel across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of consumer electronics, expertise in home audio and networking solutions, and a passion for communicating with diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Present engaging educational content verbally to small and large audiences in various formats, including in-person events, webinars, video training, and trade shows.
- Adapt communication styles to effectively engage with audiences in professional audio-video installation and retail consumer electronics.
- Work in a fast-paced, evolving environment requiring flexibility and compassion.
- Collaborate remotely and in-person to enhance training activities and create enjoyable educational experiences.
- Liaise with the Americas Pro Training Team to share best practices with a European audience.
- Partner with the EMEA professional sales team to drive sales and advocacy through education, and identify training needs to resolve installation issues.
- Reinforce key training messages with distributor partners to build their confidence and scale training abilities in local markets and languages.
- Develop expertise in Sonos hardware and software technology and installation practices.
- Answer partner questions and clarify key topics outside of formal training events.
- Stay current with industry trends and technology to maintain the team's authority on relevant topics.
- Continuously practice and refine presentation skills to maintain elite training performance.
- Contribute to the legacy of best-in-class training experiences at Sonos.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the professional AV industry, including selling, installing, or educating on industry technology and solutions.
- Demonstrated experience and success with enthusiastic public speaking and on-camera presentations.
- Effective experience in communicating knowledge to others while adapting to audience needs.
- English language fluency.
- Ability to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia monthly for potential in-person training events.
- 1-3 years of experience in the technical education field.
- Experience in audio video retail, installation, or design.
- Proficiency in writing in a clear and conversational style.
- Humility to identify opportunities for self-improvement and team development.
- A passion for consumer and professional electronics.
- Experience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere.
- Curiosity to learn new skills and dedication to mastering them.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Additional language fluency in French, German, Dutch, or Arabic is a plus.
- A love of the music and home theater experience is a plus.
