About the Role

The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join their talented team. Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel.
  • Interviews, trains, schedules, conducts performance evaluations, and disciplines staff.
  • Schedules daily work, collects room and floor status sheets, and monitors staff progress.
  • Inspects completed rooms to ensure standards are met and coaches employees on deficiencies.
  • Coordinates and follows up on work orders in assigned sections.
  • Releases checkout rooms to be sold.
  • Monitors the performance of House Attendants and ensures sufficient supplies on guest floors.
  • Checks cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and linen closets.
  • Reviews and monitors staff schedules and tours the hotel to ensure maintenance and upkeep.
  • Monitors employee activities to ensure standards are met, staff is supported, and guest needs are met.
  • Resolves customer complaints, handling guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, and accommodating special requests.
  • Assists customers with inquiries regarding hotel services, hours of operations, key personnel, events, and directions.
  • Responds to all guest requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Takes action in matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being of guests and employees when senior managers are not available.
  • Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Reading, written and oral proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Mandarin is a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of one (2-4) years of housekeeping experience, luxury hotel preferred.
  • Must be able to cope with stress and work in a high-volume operation.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States.
