About the Role
Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL) is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support daily laboratory operations and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. This role is responsible for supervising frontline staff, supporting operational excellence, and helping ensure efficient, high-quality service across multiple locations. The Operations Supervisor serves as a key leader within the region, providing coaching, guidance, and support to team members while driving workflow efficiency, quality standards, and a positive employee and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of phlebotomists, laboratory assistants, processors, couriers, data entry staff, and team leads.
- Coach, train, and develop employees to promote engagement, performance, and service excellence.
- Manage daily operations, staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Build strong relationships with patients, clients, and internal teams to ensure outstanding service.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee inventory, supplies, and operational resources to support uninterrupted service.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Support specimen collection, processing, and handling activities as needed.
- Assist with operational projects, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of laboratory experience, including specimen collection and processing.
- Two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare, laboratory, or medical setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and drive operational results.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
