About the Role

HGA is seeking a dynamic and driven Project Coordinator to join our San Francisco, CA Interior Design team. This role involves partnering with Interior Designers, Project Architects, and Project Managers to shape innovative design solutions, develop project documentation, and uphold the firm's commitment to design excellence and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Partner on the development of construction documents and ensure design intent is accurately carried through.
  • Translate complex project goals into creative and functional design solutions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate architectural and engineering systems.
  • Participate in client meetings and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Partner to meet critical project milestones and deadlines maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of projects’ design philosophy and provide major input in developing a design and building performance strategy.
  • Provide technical design input and support for the development of the entire design concept.
  • Coordinate the project’s technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work.
  • Seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop appropriate research and documents to support these solutions.
  • Actively collaborate with and coordinate work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated and support the design concept and performance goals of the project.
  • Contribute to the preparation of design documents and leads the detailed development of construction documents during all project phases.
  • Advance the production of schematic, design development and construction document drawings and specifications in compliance with project scope, schedule, cost and design intent.
  • Review and coordinate project documents with relevant Building Codes, City Planning/Zoning ordinances and similar requirements for Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and systems.
  • Review shop drawings, material samples and Construction Documents for conformance with design.
  • Perform construction administration duties (e.g., RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.).
  • Maintain contact with clients, consultants and contractors during all project phases, participating in marketing, client and owner presentations as required.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design/Interior Architecture program or related field

Salary/Compensations

  • $85,000 - $96,000 depending on qualifications and experience
