About the Role
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Technician I-Product/Test for their Timing and Communication Product Group in Austin, TX. This role involves assisting experienced product and test engineers in product development and testing for cost reductions and new product releases.
Responsibilities
- Procure, maintain, and repair lab and tester hardware
- Support testing activities and operation of IC Automated Test Equipment and handlers for customer sampling, characterization, correlation, qualification, and customer returns
- Provide statistical analysis of production and engineering test data
- Analyze product parametric performance relative to data sheet specifications
- Write and verify program scripts
- Conduct IC stress evaluations
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electronics with 0-2 years of industry experience
- Experience with Lab equipment such as power supplies and oscilloscopes
- Experience with PC board debug and repair
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment across multiple locations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with use of the standard MS-Office applications: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
