About the Role
Champion Construction Services, a division of Champion Home Builder, Inc., is seeking a Jobsite Superintendent to assist the Project Manager in executing projects, ensuring successful completion on time, with exceptional quality, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Take direction from the Project Manager for the execution of daily tasks.
- Assist in managing the flow of materials from suppliers and within the job site, ensuring timely arrival, proper type and quantity, and correct staging.
- Assist in directing subcontractors and maintaining a look-ahead schedule.
- Review and inspect the quality of work from Champion's factories and subcontractors.
- Create punch lists and coordinate their completion with subcontractors.
- Assist in the coordination and resolution of warranty work.
- Perform minor warranty work and demonstrate experience in manufactured home production/repair.
- Assist in maintaining job site work logs, including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and safety documentation.
- Perform safety inspections in accordance with Champion's safety plan.
- Assist with or perform routine toolbox talks with all job site trades.
- Travel throughout the region to oversee various job sites.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
Requirements
- 5 years of construction experience, including residential construction and directing work crews.
- Must have a reasonable knowledge of OSHA requirements and understand the required PPE for various tasks.
- Must be able to read drawing prints.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
- Computer experience should include Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Preference shown to candidates with knowledge of local building codes to include (but not limited to) 2009 IRC, UPC, IMC, and 2011 NEC.
- DOT knowledge is preferred.
- Able to perform physical work, lift tools and materials, and perform physically related construction work.
- Background check and Drug Screen are required.
