About the Role
Join the engineering team behind Beacon, Clearwater's front office platform. Your work will involve financial data and production software, focusing on market data ingestion, trade processing, and building infrastructure for real-time portfolio visibility. While not a quant role, comfort with the financial domain is expected.
Responsibilities
- Build market data ingestion pipelines, connecting to third-party vendors and normalizing data.
- Develop trade ingestion systems, including high-frequency trade processing and reconciliation.
- Create time series frameworks for efficient storage and querying of financial data.
- Develop ETL and data pipelines for reliable, large-scale investment data movement and transformation.
- Implement integrations with third-party financial platforms and internal Beacon framework features.
Requirements
- Production-grade Python proficiency.
- Finance domain exposure, including experience with financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX) in a professional context.
- SQL fluency, including writing complex queries and understanding query performance.
- Data pipeline experience, including building or maintaining ETL/ELT workflows in production.
- Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
