About the Role
Murphy is building an AI platform for debt collection for leading banks, telcos, and utilities. This role is for a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Barcelona, focusing on deploying Murphy across the Middle East and Arabic-speaking markets. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Deployment, and Revenue teams, and spend significant time with customers and prospects in the region, traveling regularly to run discovery sessions, support deployments, solve problems, and build relationships. The role operates at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success, translating business needs into technical solutions and ensuring Murphy delivers value.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technically robust client configurations, ensuring accuracy, proper scoping, and alignment with requirements.
- Own configuration quality end-to-end, avoiding workarounds and fragile setups.
- Optimize agent performance through structured iteration by analyzing metrics and improving communication flows.
- Use data to identify patterns, diagnose issues, and implement measurable improvements.
- Act as the technical counterpart to clients, explaining architecture, constraints, trade-offs, and product capabilities.
- Set client expectations realistically.
- Provide structured product feedback by identifying configuration vs. product gaps and raising requests with clear context and impact.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve the platform.
- Design scalable, reusable solutions, avoiding one-off solutions that create technical debt.
Requirements
- Native Arabic speaker with fluent English.
- Based in Barcelona and comfortable with international travel, particularly to Dubai.
- Background in Data Science or Data Analysis.
- Strong technical foundations with the ability to write and understand production-quality code.
- Comfortable working directly with customers and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Deep product and systems understanding, with the ability to reason end-to-end about data flows, architecture, dependencies, and system behavior.
- Analytical and performance-driven thinking, comfortable working with KPIs and performance metrics.
- Extreme ownership of configuration quality, holding a high bar for technical correctness and long-term maintainability.
