About the Role
Ferrero is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Financial Reporting Lead to join the UK&I Finance team. This high-impact role leads all aspects of financial reporting, statutory compliance, group reporting, and audit management for the UK and Ireland businesses, ensuring integrity and compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and Ferrero Group standards. The role offers exposure to taxation, governance, risk management, and fixed asset accounting within a dynamic FMCG environment.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the preparation and publication of statutory accounts for all UK&I legal entities, ensuring compliance with Group accounting standards, IFRS, and UK GAAP.
- Lead the annual external audit process and act as the key liaison between auditors, finance teams, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee the month-end reporting process, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, journal postings, and general ledger reconciliations within SAP.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly Group consolidation packages.
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting matters.
- Collaborate with Shared Services and international Ferrero entities to manage intercompany reconciliations and support financial close.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Ensure effective implementation and documentation of internal controls in line with company policies.
- Support local tax compliance and reporting activities, managing tax audits, enquiries, and external advisor relationships.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting activities and support inventory governance processes.
- Contribute to the delivery of audit action plans, strengthen control environments, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified or part-qualified accountant.
- Significant experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting, and audit management.
- Strong technical expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Solid understanding of taxation principles and financial controls.
- Comfortable managing complex reporting requirements.
- Ability to translate technical accounting concepts into clear and actionable insights.
- Experience working with SAP is essential.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
- Collaborative approach and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within the FMCG sector is beneficial.
- Passion for delivering financial excellence, driving continuous improvement, and leading with integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
