About the Role

Frame.io is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead technical and cross-functional programs connecting Frame.io to the broader Adobe platform. This role requires understanding how different systems fit together, maintaining a dependency map, and identifying risks. The ideal candidate can balance strategic overview with ground-level detail, proactively communicate, and drive decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end program management for initiatives spanning Frame.io and Adobe platform teams, from planning through launch.
  • Build and maintain the technical dependency map and schedules between Frame.io and underlying Adobe platform services; proactively surface conflicts, sequencing risks, and blocking dependencies.
  • Translate ambiguous, strategic goals into structured project plans with clear achievements, owners, and success criteria, and track execution.
  • Drive cross-organizational decisions and broker agreements among Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Legal, Pricing Operations, Support, and Sales.
  • Lead proactive, executive-ready communication up, down, and across the organization, tailored to each audience.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans across multiple concurrent programs.
  • Establish and evolve operating rhythms, planning processes, and governance that scale with program complexity.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to understand technical tradeoffs and represent them accurately to non-technical partners, and vice versa.
  • Manage change by adjusting plans as scope, timelines, or partner commitments shift, and clearly communicate the impact.
  • Mentor and support other program managers; contribute to program management practice and tooling across the team.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of program or technical program management experience, ideally spanning both product-facing and platform/infrastructure-facing work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical dependencies across systems - comfortable in conversations about APIs, service integrations, data flows, or platform architecture without being an engineer yourself.
  • Experience with media, video, and/or experience integrating a product into a shared platform ecosystem.
  • Proven track record driving alignment and decisions across multiple organizations, including partners you don't directly manage.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex, multi-team programs into clear, concise updates for leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to hold both strategic context and execution-level detail simultaneously.
  • Skilled in change management, risk mitigation, and resolving ambiguity under time pressure.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and standard program reporting tools.
  • Track record of building repeatable program management practices, not just running individual projects.
