About the Role
The JLL CRE National Workplace Director is responsible for managing the delivery of workplace operations across JLL's CRE Portfolio in Japan. This role ensures consistent, high-quality office operations nationwide, focusing on continuous improvement, operational excellence, safety, and compliance. The Director will develop stakeholder engagement strategies and build teams to deliver exceptional workplace experiences and operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to workplace teams across all offices in Japan.
- Mentor and enable training and development of team members.
- Ensure succession planning and mobility for all critical roles.
- Nurture an environment conducive to good teamwork and co-operation.
- Promote initiative and idea-sharing across the team and create opportunities for wider collaboration.
- Establish and strengthen credible relationships with Stakeholder leadership.
- Respond to Stakeholder requests and concerns proactively and constructively.
- Set up documented, regular connects with Stakeholder leadership at area sites.
- Ensure local/area contracts are carried out in line with terms and conditions.
- Monitor vendor performance by working closely with the regional sourcing team.
- Work with regional and global purchasing to implement sourcing strategies.
- Drive cost savings through regular review of contract terms and conditions and application of best practices.
- Ensure vendors adhere to JLL’s Code of Business Ethics.
- Deliver services as defined in the Master Service Agreement, ensuring implementation and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to key performance measurements and achieve specified targets.
- Inform CRE management immediately of any key performance incidents at sites.
- Support the Head of Operations in performing follow-up actions and communications.
- Ensure completion of all required audits and checks and close findings in a timely manner.
- Ensure that area sites meet all JLL, legal and statutory EHS requirements and regulations.
- Ensure that all JLL staff are working in compliance with EHS regulations.
- Ensure that sites meet all financial targets and control requirements.
- Provide standard monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and management reports.
- Drive cost savings to meet targets; cooperate with regional counterparts on savings.
- Deliver CRE’s regional human experience program at all sites.
- Contribute ideas to the CRE’s human experience regional program.
- Help to raise awareness of human experience and new ways of working at all sites.
- Ensure human experience is incorporated into the delivery of all service lines.
Requirements
- Five to eight (5-8) years of work experience, with at least five (5) years related to all aspects of workplace (FM) delivery at an account level.
- Excellent time management and communication skills in both Japanese & English.
- Ability to build productive business relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Comprehension of M&E services to ensure services are managed.
- MS Office proficiency.
