About the Role

The Supportive Care Service is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Associate Attending level to join our growing academic program as a Clinician-Researcher. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity for a clinician-investigator to develop and advance a program of research in supportive oncology.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 65% protected effort dedicated to research
• Approximately 25% clinical effort
• Approximately 10% academic/leadership activities
• Approximately 15% effort on the Inpatient Supportive Care Service (6 weeks)
• 10% effort in Psychiatry (1 outpatient session per week)
• Additional participation in Supportive Care coverage responsibilities as needed
• Mentorship of junior faculty and trainees
• Development of collaborative research initiatives
• Participation in emerging areas of supportive oncology research

Requirements

• Board certified in primary specialty (Psychiatry and/or other specialty)
• Board certified/board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM)
• Completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in HPM
• Prior academic appointments at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor
• Strong publication record
• Significant clinical or research experience to be appointed to the rank of Associate Attending
• Superb clinical, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
• Strong commitment to academic medicine, mentorship, and scholarly activity
