About the Role

SEKO Logistics is seeking a professional to manage international shipments, ensuring efficient and timely transportation, logistics, forwarding, and warehousing. This role involves close communication with customers and overseas partners, meticulous data entry, and adherence to company values and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and company web portal.
  • Manage time-specific pickups and provide optimal import routing via Ocean and Air.
  • Manage breakbulk operations for import shipments, including quoting, routing, and handling destination services.
  • Collate export documents and transfer them to the brokerage department for customs clearance.
  • Perform operations system data entry and manage customer web portal communications.
  • Track all shipments and provide updates to customers.
  • Provide a monthly service departure schedule.
  • Close out consolidations.
  • Send daily agent settlements per consolidation (invoicing).
  • Monitor and relay discrepancies to the field and overseas.
  • Assist stations with import documentation review and advice.
  • Assist stations and sales with air import quotes.
  • Keep sales informed of major lane developments.
  • Build pallets to maximize space and reduce costs.
  • Produce necessary documents for overseas and U.S. Customs, including Mawb, manifest, SED, and labels.
  • Act as the final check to ensure all documentation is provided by origins.
  • Ensure all origin freight and documents are ready for carriage.
  • Rate and enter costs against the master job.
  • Book all shipments with carriers.
  • Research and respond to foreign agent requests.
  • Determine routings for overseas and origins.
  • Run monthly reports, including gateway, carrier performance, and lane analysis.
  • Maintain an orderly workplace.
  • Comply with SEKO’s C-TPAT Security Profile.

  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Comply with instructions for own and others' safety and health.
  • Cooperate with management regarding legislative obligations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Excellent Communications Skills and Strong Sense of Urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize heavy workloads.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Experience Level

  • 2-5 years related experience

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,500 - $93,600 USD per year
  • Eligible for an annual incentive bonus
