About the Role
As a Safety Coordinator, you play a vital role in safeguarding the health and well-being of thousands of craft workers and project team members across our jobsites each day. You will work alongside senior leaders to execute safety policies, manage jobsite risk, and actively drive Clark’s "Culture of Care."
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the administration of Clark’s Safety, Health, and Environmental program to ensure a safe and healthy environment for Clark employees, trade contractors, and the surrounding community.
- Enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards.
- Promoting a positive safety culture through coaching and educating employees and trade contractors on occupation health and safety requirements.
- Developing and implementing project-specific safety programs.
- Identifying potential hazards and providing immediate input, advice, and direction to mitigate hazardous conditions and assure compliance.
- Conducting site-walks and reporting project-specific safety performance and future plans.
- Working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction, including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, fire prevention, and evacuation.
- Coordinating third-party safety reviews, including OSHA.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or a master's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
- Passion and interest in the construction industry.

- Ability to be on feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists.
- Comfortable with physically demanding work requiring a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work.
- Adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines.
