About the Role
Vialto is seeking a Tax Director to join its UK private client team, focusing on advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and internationally mobile private clients. This role involves managing client relationships, delivering tailored advice on complex personal tax matters, supporting team development, and contributing to practice growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, internationally mobile employees, entrepreneurs, and family offices.
- Provide UK personal tax advice on residence and domicile, cross-border taxation, international mobility, income and capital gains tax planning, and remittance basis.
- Manage the delivery of UK personal tax compliance services, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
- Support clients with tax planning for international moves, investments, succession planning, and changing personal circumstances.
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-standard client service.
- Collaborate with tax and advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions for clients with complex international needs.
- Review work from junior team members and coach/develop colleagues.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Stay updated on evolving tax legislation and best practices, communicating relevant developments to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong UK personal tax experience, particularly with cross-border issues.
- Comfortable managing client relationships and engagements.
- Ability to deliver tailored advice across a broad range of private client tax matters.
- Willingness to support team development and contribute to practice growth.
- Strong interest in the technical aspects of UK private client tax.
- Experience in UK private client or personal tax, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK personal taxation and international/private client tax matters.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering tax advisory and compliance work.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
