About the Role
The Construction Schedule Analyst is a foundational role within the Clark Planning & Scheduling Department, supporting Project Schedulers by managing data flow into Primavera P6, auditing schedule health with Excel, and creating milestone tracking reports. This role offers a structured career path in construction planning and scheduling with technical training provided.
Responsibilities
- Commit to an accelerated learning path to become a power user in Primavera P6.
- Work closely with Project Schedulers to explore the nuances of the Critical Path Method (CPM) and its application to complex construction sequencing.
- Provide on-site support to project teams for schedule updates, activity detail expansion, construction sequencing adjustments, and internal/contractual reporting.
- Perform data analysis and advanced reporting using Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and other industry-specific tools.
- Calculate and report on Project Metrics including Total Float and Schedule Performance to identify potential bottlenecks.
- Identify patterns in historical data to help Project Teams predict future project outcomes.
- Ensure all schedule data adheres to standards for naming conventions, activity coding, and organizational breakdown.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Associates degree in construction management, engineering, data analysis, mathematics, computer science, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Excel Proficiency.
- An innate interest in troubleshooting data discrepancies and finding the "why" behind the numbers.
- Ability to summarize and communicate complex data findings.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work.
- Effective communication skills.
- Sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work.
- Ability to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels on construction sites.
- Comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment.
- Comfortable with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress.
- Follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.
- Energized by challenge, thrive under pressure, and prepared to do what it takes to achieve exceptional results.
- Significant commitment, including flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines.
- Monitor and respond to communications (phone calls, emails, text messages) as required for time-sensitive matters or emergencies.
- Pass a pre-employment drug "fitness for duty" screening.
- Undergo random quarterly drug "fitness for duty" tests.
