About the Role

QuadReal is seeking a Summer Analyst, U.S. Real Estate Debt for Summer 2027 in New York City. This role supports the growth strategy of QuadReal’s U.S. debt platform by assisting with investment analysis, underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.

Responsibilities

Assist in the analysis, underwriting, structuring, and preparation of investment memorandums for investment opportunities including new investments, extensions, and amendments.
Conduct thorough due diligence of investment documents, third-party reports, and market data to support new loan origination.
Conduct market research leveraging external databases, discussions with market participants, and internal research tools to support investment opportunities across multiple markets and asset classes.
Create and maintain detailed cashflow and valuation models for new investment opportunities.
Support the Investment Team in the monitoring of existing investments.
Actively adhere to compliance and risk management policies.

Requirements

Completing a university degree with a major in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or Economics.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages.
Must be able to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and change.
Comfortable following direction but also contributing to the direction.
Must have advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance but then move projects forward independently.

Previous experience working with a real estate company (asset manager or developer), real estate brokerage or advisory firm, appraisal firm, or real estate lender is desirable.
A strong interest in developing a career within real estate is essential.
Students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal.
Students registered in an official co-op program at their post-secondary institution where completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for graduation are eligible.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Knowledge of Argus Enterprise a plus
Familiarity with AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis, or productivity is considered an asset
