About the Role
This Summer Analyst role in Americas Asset Management will support QuadReal’s U.S. portfolio by assisting in the execution of comprehensive asset strategies and providing analytical support for various asset types. The position is based in New York City and reports directly to the Associate, Americas Asset Management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of comprehensive asset strategies.
- Provide analytical support for multiple asset types across QuadReal’s U.S. portfolio.
- Understand and be exposed to all aspects of the real estate lifecycle, including development/construction, property operations, business plans, budget implementation, and financing/disposition activities.
- Develop a working knowledge of partnership agreements, development agreements, construction agreements, property management agreements, and other agreements to assist with project tracking and oversight responsibilities.
- Assist in the monitoring of existing investments/joint ventures, including maintaining cash flow and valuation models.
- Analyze project sustainability, wellness, and smart building specifications against programmatic goals and portfolio wide performance benchmarks.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, construction progress metrics, operating performance measurements, and other KPIs.
- Work with multiple teams to audit and maintain proprietary databases and reporting dashboards for accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and returning to school after completion of the work term.
- If registered in an official co-op program, completion of a final work term is mandatory for graduation.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages.
- Must be able to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and change.
- Comfortable following direction but also contributing to the direction.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance but then move projects forward independently.
- Embrace and proactively support QuadReal’s values and its culture of environmental sustainability and corporate and social responsibility.
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals and project finance along with investment and asset management practices and the full cycle of project planning, design, and execution.
