About the Role

Under immediate supervision, this internship provides support to the Healthcare Professional Liability team, involving initial review and analysis of transaction submissions, risk assessment, and assisting underwriters with deal pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial review and analysis of transaction submissions, including financial statements, business operational information, and purchase agreements.
  • Assess transaction risks and prepare preliminary terms for policy indications.
  • Assist Underwriters in managing the deal pipeline, including maintaining electronic underwriting files, producing indications, coordinating due diligence, and preparing insurance policies for issuance.
  • Attend marketing events, business development events, and group strategy sessions.

Requirements

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Must be a current or recent enrollee in a relevant field.
  • Spring 2028 graduation strongly preferred.
  • Completed 60 hours of general college coursework.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and a team-player.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
