About the Role
TMHCC’s M&A Analyst Summer Internship Program is a 10-week career development experience for college students. Participants collaborate with the Transaction Risk Insurance (TRI) team, learn about the transaction risk insurance product in M&A transactions, and attend networking events. The program aims to develop skills such as self-awareness, relationship management, prioritization, communication, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial review and analysis of M&A transaction submissions, including financial statements, business operational information, and purchase agreements.
- Assess M&A transaction risks and prepare preliminary terms for RWI policy indications.
- Assist Underwriters in managing deal pipeline, including electronic underwriting files, producing indications, coordinating due diligence with outside counsel and accountants, and preparing insurance policies for issuance.
- Attend marketing events, business development events, and group strategy sessions.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students from finance, accounting, business, economics or pre-law.
- Rising college senior.
- Spring 2028 graduation strongly preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and a team-player.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
- Interested in learning about M&A transactions.
