About the Role
As an Environmental Planner 2 at HDR, you will assist in the preparation and management of local municipal permitting documents and components. You will prepare, plan, and manage permitting submittals from start to finish, coordinating permitting schedules within overall project timelines. Your role will involve reviewing technical documentation, and supporting project managers and design leads through the permitting processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and management of local municipal permitting documents and components
- Prepare, plan, and manage permitting submittments from start to finish
- Manage and coordinate permitting schedule for inclusion in overall project/design schedule
- Review technical documentation related to permitting
- Support and guide project managers, task leads, design leads, etc. through permitting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
- A minimum of 5 years environmental experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Ability to interact with various design teams
- Excellent research, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Self-starter
