About the Role
As a Maintenance Team Member at Winland Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our operations. This position involves problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and uphold high standards of safety and quality, directly impacting operational success and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Repair and service processing and packaging equipment on a planned schedule.
- Troubleshoot equipment effectively to minimize downtime, understanding failure modes and recommending solutions.
- Install and modify machinery and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Pro-actively report equipment status and repair requirements to production and maintenance teams.
- Report daily work effort and failure root causes to facilitate reliability improvement.
- Perform all assigned duties.
Requirements
- Basic welding and machining skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while valuing team effort.
- Dependability and comfort with decision-making.
- Good computer skills.
- Self-starter willing to take initiative.
- Provide timely and high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid people and communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend/twist, push/pull as needed to complete work tasks.
