About the Role
The Exyte Tool Install Design Manager ensures all design activities within the project fulfill project standards, supervising and managing design scope, budget, and schedule. This role reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the overall project design and production process adheres to company procedures, project budget, and schedule.
- Leads engineering and design teams to create and document designs consistent with industry standards and client preferences.
- Coordinates the work of design leads and teams producing tool install construction documents.
- Ensures team meets schedule requirements and collaborates with the schedule team for client schedule leveling.
- Ensures the team performs contracted scope of work and works with design leads on change orders.
- Reviews budgets with the Project Controls team.
- Reports project status to the client and project manager.
- Serves as the main point of contact for the client design manager, facilitating status meetings and communication.
- Coordinates and leads continuous improvement efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 8+ years of experience showing increasing responsibility leading teams.
- 2+ years in Tool Install.
- Experience in leading teams and workgroups on small to medium projects.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of minimum educational requirement accepted.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
- Prior experience with advanced technology.
- Prior experience in consulting engineering.
- Experience working within a team environment.
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes.
- Experience leading a team to a successful outcome.

- Detailed understanding of Lean execution principles for design of projects.
- Good time management skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

- Proficient in Excel, Teams, Outlook.
- Basic understanding of AutoCad, Bluebeam, and Power BI a plus.
Experience Level

Education Level
