About the Role
The Jays Care Foundation is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy to drive organizational strategy and performance, lead cross-functional teams, and execute strategic initiatives. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence organization-wide decisions.
Responsibilities
- Drive organizational strategy and performance by shaping strategy, establishing priorities, and defining success measures.
- Lead strategic planning and the development of execution roadmaps.
- Identify and assess opportunities and trends to improve performance.
- Measure and track progress to inform decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve important business challenges by ensuring a common understanding of goals and objectives.
- Develop practical, robust approaches that enable successful execution.
- Build strong relationships across the organization and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Solicit involvement and input from both internal and external parties.
- Own and execute strategic initiatives by leading initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Structure problems, frame opportunities, and analyze options.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement to support decision-making.
- Prepare executive-level materials and gain alignment on next steps.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Strategy Team by coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Contribute new tools, frameworks, and best practices to build effectiveness.
- Play an active role in the development of a high-performing team culture.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in strategy consulting, an internal corporate strategy function, investment banking, or a related high-performance field.
- Structured problem-solving ability in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modeling and business case analysis.
- Able to effectively communicate complex concepts to an executive audience.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business and manage relationships to deliver outcomes.
- Team player with a willingness and curiosity to push past assigned work.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
