About the Role
The Assistant Director position supports the Program Director with hiring, training, and supervising staff, and communicating weekly performance. This role requires a commitment to a strength-based, culturally competent, and unconditional care philosophy, with direct service and coverage responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform intakes and coordinate participant staffing to manage client service hours.
- Ensure compliance with all YAP and referring authority requirements.
- Provide direct service and coverage, supporting staff and families, and conducting group work.
- Utilize knowledge of child welfare systems, mental health practices, juvenile justice systems, and budgetary concepts.
- Engage in creative and pro-active planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree generally preferred; commensurate experience in community-based agency programs is acceptable unless a specific degree is required.
- Minimum of one-year previous experience in managing personnel and budgets.
- Experience with at-risk youth, probation, court liaison, etc. is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
