About the Role

The Internal Communications Manager will support the Head of Corporate Affairs for Haleon’s Europe OU, shaping the employee experience and leading internal communications at the OU level. This role supports the delivery of internal communications in markets and clusters, embedding new Operating Model ways of working and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute initiatives to connect, engage and inspire employees across the Europe OU, informing them of business objectives and inspiring culture changes.
  • Ensure in-country internal communications align with Haleon branding and the Win as One framework.
  • Partner with cluster CA teams to manage internal, in-country communications channels, identifying gaps and solutions for effective information delivery.
  • Develop and implement new, innovative communications channels and tactics.
  • Partner with Quality and Supply Chain site champions and leads on internal communication strategies to build an inclusive culture and connection with manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with the Global Internal Communications team to provide content suggestions for global channels.
  • Partner with brand teams to assist in internal pull-through plans for external PR campaigns.
  • Utilize metrics and insights to tailor communication strategies to Europe OU needs.
  • Manage external vendors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of objectives.
  • Implement and execute communication plans for Europe OU initiatives independently, on time and on budget.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise, experience, and confidence to plan, counsel on, and deliver communications to manage or mitigate issues and their reputational impact.
  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing counsel, support, and challenge.
  • Strong strategic thinking, execution, and overall business acumen.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations.
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization, across cultures and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proven ability to influence others at peer and senior levels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Compelling storytelling, high-quality writing, sensitivity to cultural nuances, and strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible, resilient, and self-motivated, able to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence people and work with top management.
  • Issues/crisis-management experience (ideally related to employee/workplace issues).
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong capability in managing a changing business environment and ambiguity.
