About the Role
Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their Chicago team!
Responsibilities
- Design, installation, commissioning, and testing of instrumentation & control systems (SCADA).
- Collaborate with internal departments including information technology, engineering, and operations.
- Provide project management, manage teams, and ensure quality control during all project phases.
- Provide instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities.
- Perform onsite work for municipal clients, including instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system/process start-up/testing.
- Provide on-call 24/7 support (rotating weekly) to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation, and startup tasks.
- Proficiency in programming using PLCs, SCADA, and OITs software.
- Experience with various products including Allen-Bradley (SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView), Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and other hardware/software.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred.
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
