About the Role
The Salesforce Senior Developer will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack. This role involves identifying, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements, developing application strategies, defining Salesforce standards and best practices, and executing development for phased implementations. The primary objective is to ensure a functionally sound and stable Salesforce deployment, achieve standardization of business processes, reduce project risks and costs by leveraging standard solutions and best practices, and apply deep expertise to meet business objectives with minimal disruption.
Responsibilities
- Act as a CRM trusted advisor in support of business unit projects through all phases of requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide product demonstration and use-case modelling.
- Develop business processes and related configuration.
- Ensure alignment and buy-in with stakeholders.
- Provide direct support of business unit staff during launch.
- Estimate work efforts required for each phase of a project or ticket.
- Take direct responsibility for design, development, and implementation.
- Provide product and technical expertise when scoping complex projects and related integrations.
- Review code and solution summaries to ensure adherence to best practices and fit-for-purpose development.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations, and assess, design, and develop future integration requirements.
- Document and share knowledge, including technical details, business processes, best practices, and reference architecture.
- Apply advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
- Solve unusually complex technical problems with highly innovative and ingenious solutions.
- Work towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives under consultative direction.
- Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field
- 6+ years of previous development experience with Salesforce
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification
- Demonstrated success with at least one large Salesforce integration project
- Strong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on the Salesforce Platform
- Experience working in Agile projects and managing workload with JIRA
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues
- Technical project management experience
- Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
- Communication skills for both technical and business audiences
Skills
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant certification (preferred)
- Development experience with Salesforce CPQ (preferred)
- Development experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud (preferred)
- Development experience with Conga CLM (preferred)
- DevOps platform experience preferred (e.g., Copado, Gearset)
- Experience with MuleSoft preferred (or other enterprise integration technologies)
