About the Role
You'll be working on our fantasy sports product, focusing on season-long leagues, drafts, matchups, live scoring, and the social layer. You will play a crucial role in developing the fantasy experience on web, ensuring it's scalable, reliable, and fast for millions of dedicated users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for our fantasy sports product.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using React, Typescript, and related libraries.
- Build fluid, responsive interfaces with a strong emphasis on animation and gesture.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex performance, socket, data caching and other issues.
- Develop reusable UI components and implement a well-structured component hierarchy for the application.
- Integrate front-end components with back-end services using APIs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in React, web development best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
Requirements
- An active fantasy sports player.
- 5+ years of web application development experience, with React as your primary framework.
- Experience building and owning a large-scale, consumer-facing application.
- A strong eye for interaction detail, with real depth in animation and gesture work on the web.
- Desire to take on and own a large scale product with freedom to design and develop a best in class experience.
- Comfortable in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, equally at home extending an existing codebase and standing up new surfaces.
