About the Role

Oversee Housekeeping and Maintenance operations while supporting the General Manager in driving overall hotel performance. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the hotel's physical condition, cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about team development, asset protection, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, room readiness, inspections, and cleaning standards.
  • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet or exceed brand standards.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, training, coaching, and performance management for Housekeeping team members.
  • Partner closely with Front Desk leadership to ensure room status accuracy and efficient room turnover.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective action plans.
  • Lead preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety equipment.
  • Perform regular property inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and appearance concerns.
  • Coordinate vendor services, repairs, and approve capital improvement projects.
  • Protect hotel assets through proactive maintenance and repair planning.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and fire-life-safety standards.
  • Oversee proper chemical handling, MSDS compliance, and equipment safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Respond professionally and effectively to emergencies and operational incidents.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hotel operations, housekeeping, maintenance, or facilities management leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, cleanliness standards, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
  • Experience managing labor costs, departmental budgets, and inventory controls.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
