About the Role
Optimizes the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and install modern innovative manufacturing equipment to facilitate high volume production of a variety of products.
- Provide programming, debug and testing controls support with automated systems, and implement updates and/or optimize existing equipment.
- Provide high level technical support to the maintenance department.
- Interface with other departments concerning equipment improvements, and facilitate internal training programs.
- Document programs and publish reports on internal projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Proficiency in automated technologies (PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, SCADA and Robotics).
- PLC logic troubleshooting, Allen Bradley experience preferred.
- Experience in 2D/3D CAD, Inventor and/or Solidworks preferred.
- Trained in electricity, hydraulics, fabrication, plastics and electronic controls.
- PC experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Adequate interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate a working relationship with both internal & external customers.
