About the Role
MongoDB's AI Builder Experience (ABX) team is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the Partner Platform. This role involves defining products, experiences, and operating models that enable ecosystem partners to build high-quality MongoDB experiences. You will focus on the Partner API, self-serve integrations, onboarding, enterprise controls, marketplace discovery, and partner-managed experiences, operating at the intersection of humans, AI agents, and partners to make MongoDB the preferred database for AI-native development.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the MongoDB Partner Platform.
- Translate partner and customer needs into product strategies and roadmaps.
- Develop the Partner API, including self-serve onboarding, enterprise controls, and partner-managed billing.
- Establish a repeatable operating model for partner intake, engagement, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, IAM, Billing, Security, Design, and Marketing.
- Engage with strategic AI-native partners and cloud platforms to understand their needs.
- Ensure the platform serves both human and AI agent developers.
- Define metrics to measure platform value and impact.
- Create product narratives and communicate strategy to various stakeholders.
- Represent MongoDB externally on AI-native product development and developer ecosystems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in taking a product or platform from concept to adoption and evolution.
- Deep technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, platform boundaries, integrations, data flows, reliability, and security.
- Experience building products for developers, technical users, AI-native workflows, or platform ecosystems.
- Experience with AI agents, agent frameworks, or agentic developer platforms is strongly preferred.
- Clear understanding of building for human developers versus AI agents.
- Strong partner and customer focus.
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and align teams without direct authority.
- Comfort balancing speed, security, quality, and enterprise requirements.
- Strong analytical judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI-native development and hands-on use of AI tools.
