About the Role

The Training and Instructional Design Specialist supports the development of high-quality learning solutions across various formats, focusing on virtual instructor-led and hybrid training, and creating materials for multiple delivery methods. This role translates complex information into engaging, learner-centered experiences using core instructional design principles.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver training materials for e-learning, hybrid, and instructor-led sessions, job aids, and training videos.
Prepare training materials, learning environments, and participant resources for complex policy, operational, and technical content.
Reinforce learner understanding through coaching, follow-up support, and responding to learner questions.
Create and update knowledge checks, quizzes, and learner activities.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to continuously update and improve training materials.
Support LMS administration activities, including course setup, learner communications, completion tracking, and reporting.
Measure training effectiveness and business outcomes for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience in instructional design and training in a corporate, technical, or operational training environment.
Demonstrated application of instructional design principles, including adult learning theory, ADDIE, assessment design, and basic training measurement and evaluation.
Hands-on experience developing e-learning modules using Articulate (Storyline and Rise).
Expertise in creating a range of training deliverables, including e-learning, instructor-led materials, job aids, and presentations.
Proven ability to translate complex policy, business processes, or technical information into clear, engaging learning content.
Experience working with SMEs and stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate training content.
Proven ability to use AI-supported tools to support efficient workflows.
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) to upload, organize, and maintain training content, and for reporting.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Possess a “can-do” attitude, willingness to stretch up and down in role, take on additional responsibilities, and quickly establish credibility.
Ability to build collaborative, trust-based working relationships.
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to generate new approaches, spot innovative opportunities, take calculated risks, and initiate action.
