About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d) in Core Insurance System Modernization, you will play a crucial role in the analysis and design process, translating complex business requirements into actionable solution specifications and guiding operational implementation within Guidewire projects. You will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and goals, aligning technological solutions with their needs, and acting as a liaison between business, IT, and project teams. Success in this role requires a blend of business process know-how, strong listening skills, technical creativity, and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the collection, prioritization, and management of business requirements in core system modernization (e.g., claims/accident, policy administration)
- Translating requirements into detailed solution specifications and managing implementation teams (internal/external)
- Ensuring the successful introduction of Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire BillingCenter modules, including integration solutions with peripheral systems, APIs, and digital platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Jutro)
- Ensuring the further development of assets within the Guidewire Ecosystem
- Responsibility for quality assurance, budget, and time controlling
- Leading workshops with executives, business units, and IT for business process analysis, solution design, and implementation
- Responsibility for change management aspects, stakeholder communication, and project success measurement
- Mentoring teams and building expertise within the DACH team
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Informatics/Business Administration or comparable qualification
- At least 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance sector, ideally with multiple core insurance implementations
- Proven experience with Guidewire systems or very comparable core insurance platforms
- Extensive experience with regulatory frameworks in the DACH region
- Leadership experience in program and/or project management, strong moderation and communication skills
- Very good German and English language skills, confident in communication with business and IT leadership levels
- Willingness to undergo relevant certifications and qualifications and to meet the quality standards of NTT DATA / Alchemy
