About the Role

Executing high-level project management support for top customer accounts, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications while maintaining strong internal and external communication.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer is contacted within 48 hours of project award.
  • Review project objectives and timelines with customers and establish communication strategies.
  • Ensure all required project information is provided to Operations from Sales and Engineering.
  • Assign project-related tasks within ConnectWise according to project timelines.
  • Review all project information with key personnel to address questions and unknowns.
  • Involve necessary personnel in project plans for technology-specific awareness and compliance.
  • Evaluate potential problems, impact, and solutions, coordinating resources, site access, PPE, and equipment.
  • Create project plans with specific milestones to achieve budgets and timelines.
  • Create Gantt charts, Risk Registers, and Site Safety Plans as required.
  • Adjust project plans and communicate changes to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, communicating the project plan and reviewing milestones.
  • Perform consistent site evaluations, safety inspections, and quality assurances.
  • Mentor and correct discrepancies, reporting reoccurrences when necessary.
  • Communicate changes in the SOW and seek Change Order possibilities.
  • Adapt project plans as needed.
  • Verify that the communication strategy is being executed by the on-site project team.
  • Ensure project punch lists and system testing are completed.
  • Coordinate customer training and schedule documentation completion.
  • Assist Sales/Engineering in pre-sales functions by sharing or compiling customer knowledge and design.
  • Perform customer walk-throughs for project closing.
  • Submit documentation and obtain customer sign-off for project fulfillment.
  • Provide input on project management processes, procedures, tools, and best practices.
  • Give recommendations to Sales and Engineering on improvement areas and project successes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead project teams while they are working on assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of client-facing project management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing several projects/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment).
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations as well as customers.
  • Strong organizational, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and creative skills.
  • Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment using accurate and timely analysis of available data.
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • General knowledge of communications systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet high or be in a lift to extended heights.
  • Ability to effectively speak and understand English language communications.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to perform reaching, grasping, and carrying activities.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
