About the Role
Proactively identify business prospects through business development efforts and collaboration with various business groups. Present a variety of business lending and deposit solutions to meet client needs through profiling and understanding business & industry trends. Serve as the primary sales contact for the small business market segment to maximize growth through a proactive service and solutions approach, and be responsible for overall relationship profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate relationships with business clients, assist them with their financial needs, and promote banks products and services.
- Acquire new business through targeted marketing efforts and proactive outreach and by expanding and nurturing existing client relationships.
- Represent the Bank in the community for the purpose of generating additional business and identifying potential CRA opportunities.
- Understand the local market and proactively develop relationships with centers of influence and internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth.
- Understand and interpret financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by listening attentively, asking insightful questions, and taking prompt actions to address immediate needs.
- Adhere to business banking lending processes, policies, procedures, legal, regulatory, audit, and ethical requirements.
- Ensure all requests are processed accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and provide a high-quality customer service experience.
- Discuss and promote all Bank products and services to establish complete client relationship.
- Collaborate with business partners, bringing in product specialists to help problem solve or structure a transaction.
- Learn and understand the key components of the client’s industry, business and personal goals to effectively make recommendations of the bank’s products and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as credit underwriters, analysts, and customer loan servicing officers to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
- Attend networking and community events to build a strong professional network and represent the bank for brand recognition, generating additional business, and identifying potential CRA opportunities.
- Evaluate client’s financial health and risk profiles to determine creditworthiness and suitability for different banking products and services.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry insights, and regulatory changes to proactively identify opportunities for clients and for the bank.
- Monitor portfolio for quality, risk, and adherence to policy.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, Management, and Credit Administration, to ensure sound portfolio management, client introductions, and timely resolution of issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Proven track record of sales, prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships.
- A strong understanding of financial products and services.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial for building and maintaining relationships with business clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete a high volume of work with accuracy.

Experience Level
- Business RM I: 3 years of relevant experience in related field, preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary/Compensations
- $93,000 to $145,000 annual salary
