About the Role
Lincoln International is seeking an Associate to join its rapidly growing Healthcare M&A practice in New York, NY. The Associate will interact closely with senior bankers and clients, execute M&A transactions from start to finish, gain exposure to international clients and buyers, and contribute to analyst development and new business efforts. The role offers opportunities for accelerated professional development and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day client interactions, serving as the central point of contact between clients and the M&A team.
- Conduct industry research to identify market trends, buyers, and acquisition targets.
- Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
- Perform core M&A modeling, valuation, and databook preparation with a strong understanding of supporting quality of earnings analysis.
- Synthesize large and complex datasets into strategic insights by identifying underlying key performance trends and business drivers.
- Manage vendor due diligence workstreams, overseeing preparation, coordination, and delivery across financial, commercial, and operational streams to drive transaction execution.
- Coordinate bidder engagement, manage dataroom preparation and upkeep, track information requests, and liaise between management and bidders to ensure timely, accurate responses.
- Support transaction negotiations by providing analysis on purchase price adjustments, working capital targets, indemnities, and completion mechanics.
- Oversee analyst workstreams by reviewing deliverables and providing guidance.
- Participate in new business development meetings and pitches.
- Host visits by potential buyers at client facilities.
- Lead or drive initiatives to enhance the firm’s franchise value.
Requirements

- Minimum of 3+ years of Financial Due Diligence or M&A Transaction Advisory at a Big 4 firm (or A&M, RSM, Grant Thornton, BDO, BRG, Eisner Amper, Riveron, Moss Adams, or Kroll) preferred.
- Candidates with at least 6 months at the Manager (or equivalent title) level are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Fluent in accounting (e.g., Quality of Earnings) and finance, with strong business acumen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Assertive, self-motivated, and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Not currently hiring individuals who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
