About the Role
Own UGLYCASH's social presence and shape the company's narrative. This role involves running and growing social channels, identifying compelling stories, developing them into ongoing narratives, and documenting the company's building process for a new generation of online earners.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow UGLYCASH's cross-platform social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and X
- Own and develop the ongoing narrative of UGLYCASH across social
- Work closely with the founders and team to identify the stories, personalities, moments, and ideas worth turning into content
- Build recurring storylines, formats, and content arcs that give people a reason to keep following
- Turn internal company happenings into compelling narratives
- Partner closely with the film creator to decide what should be captured and how those moments become stories
- Develop and maintain the social content calendar and publishing cadence
- Stay plugged into internet culture and identify relevant trends, conversations, and formats for participation
- Experiment with storytelling methods and evolve the narrative based on resonance
Requirements
- Located in the United States and willing to relocate to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided)
- Strong storyteller with an instinct for finding compelling stories
- Experience building and growing an audience, ideally across Instagram and a writing-led platform
- Ability to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats that build a recognizable voice
- Ability to think in narratives, not just individual posts
- Strong editorial and creative taste with an understanding of cultural relevance
- Deeply internet-native with an understanding of online content consumption, sharing, and engagement
- Strategic and hands-on approach to shaping and executing stories
