About the Role

The Director of Operations serves as the primary representative for Campus Services Group (CSG) in the NY area, focusing on growth, leading people, and delivering consistent services. Success measures include Revenue Growth, Budget Performance, Customer Satisfaction, Systems Implementation, Client Loyalty, and Employee Engagement. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, innovation, and commitment, with up to 75% travel and routine evening campus visits.

Responsibilities

  • Sales, systems, and program implementation
  • Profit and loss management for the region
  • Operational support of account managers
  • Client relations and contract negotiations
  • Account retention and receivables management
  • Recruitment, hiring, training, development, succession planning, mentoring, and management of regional managers
  • Oversee day-to-day EVS, maintenance, and grounds operations for all campuses within the region
  • Develop policies, procedures, and processes to support operations
  • Promote process improvement and best practices at each campus and share them with the CSG Division
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of new or modified operational programs
  • Develop programs to meet each account's unique needs
  • Initiate action plans as necessary
  • Oversee and direct the startup of new business
  • Develop business plans and budgets for each account
  • Attain financial goals for the assigned area
  • Partner with the Financial Services Department on initiatives, especially collections
  • Submit timely and accurate expense reports
  • Demonstrate responsible use of company assets, funds, equipment, technology, and credit card
  • Maintain and promote customer service at all times
  • Plan, organize, and control functions and activities of program implementation and operations
  • Review and evaluate existing programs at each unit
  • Meet with CSG senior leadership to report monthly progress
  • Establish and maintain client relations and customer satisfaction
  • Provide leadership for start-ups
  • Ensure compliance with provisions of client contracts

Requirements

  • Network with Directors of Facilities and Directors of Operations at schools/colleges
  • Source and identify new sales opportunities and RFP opportunities
  • Develop proposals and responses
  • Lead, mentor, engage, and develop teams
  • Recruit, assess, train, coach, and manage performance
  • Review Blueforce reports, approve payroll, and monitor payroll issues
  • Develop constructive relationships with corporate support departments
  • Manage in compliance with HCSG's standards of operation, policies, procedures, client contracts, and laws
  • Maintain all necessary records and reports
  • Identify opportunities for advancement and maintain a succession plan
  • Interview, hire, and orient Account Managers
  • Maintain proper staffing levels and cover open Manager positions
  • Develop and initiate action plans
  • Work in partnership with the Financial Services Department
  • Submit timely and accurate expense reports
  • Demonstrate responsible use of company assets
  • Maintain and promote customer service
  • Plan, organize, and control functions and activities
  • Review and evaluate existing programs
  • Meet with CSG senior leadership to report monthly progress

  • Must submit to a Motor Vehicle Check and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must live in service area

Experience Level

Salary/Compensations

  • USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
