About the Role
As a Data Analyst, you will be a key member of Borrowell’s Data Analytics Team, informing new marketing and product initiatives and powering personalized recommendations for over 3 million members. You will provide insights into business performance and make recommendations for future development, monitoring key performance indicators, exploring new data areas, and making company data accessible and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize data models daily using SQL and dbt.
- Deliver business reporting, forecasting, and actionable insights leveraging Looker.
- Design, analyze, and validate statistical experiments to support product and business initiatives.
- Write clean, efficient SQL queries using joins, aggregates, subqueries, and window functions.
- Partner cross-functionally to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate (or higher) degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Science, Eng, or Social Sciences).
- Basic knowledge of Python (numpy, pandas, statsmodels, matplotlib, seaborn) or R (tidyverse: dplyr, data.table, ggplot2...etc.).
- Proven experience interpreting data and translating analytical results into impactful business strategies.
- Must attend in-person meetings and team-building events.
- Must be physically located in Ontario, BC, or Alberta.
- Must clear a credit and criminal record check.
