About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer (Data Engineering), you will build and maintain data solutions for regulatory reporting across U.S. equity and options markets. This role is ideal for analytical, solutions-oriented, and collaborative individuals who take ownership of complex technical problems and deliver reliable, scalable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and Scala-based backend applications supporting large-scale regulatory reporting workflows.
- Analyze technical and business requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable software solutions.
- Build, enhance, and support data processing and ETL workflows for ingesting, transforming, and delivering trading and market data.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes across distributed data platforms.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions using cloud and big data technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of software development experience with strong programming skills in Scala or/and Java.
- Experience developing backend services, data-intensive applications, or ETL/data processing solutions.
- Experience working in SQL and Linux/Unix environments, including scripting and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders.
