About the Role
Polsinelli seeks an engaging Practice Group Assistant for their Real Estate Finance group in the New York office. This role is ideal for recent college graduates or individuals interested in real estate and the paralegal profession, offering an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-closing, closing, and post-closing of loans
- Compile and organize documents, including loan documents and signature pages
- Revise and edit documents
- Track missing items
- Create closing binder indexes and closing binders
- Prepare custodial letters and custodial packages
- Create and update various checklists
- Track post-closing items such as recorded documents and original documents
- Collaborate with attorneys, analysts, paralegals, and title companies
Requirements
- Strong interest in real estate lending and the legal profession
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong sense of pride in personal work product
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Prior law firm experience or paralegal certificate is a plus
- Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
- Must be dependable, dedicated, and able to maintain confidentiality

- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet searches)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
