About the Role
The Sales Development Engineer (SDE) intern role is designed for engineers who want to develop careers in technical sales, applications engineering, and technical marketing. You will benefit from training programs, including training on T&M products and related technologies, our sales process, public speaking and on our customers and markets they serve. Responsibilities
- Spend your first weeks in rapid learning, gaining expertise with T&M tools and our sales process while supporting T&M customers and their technical challenges
- After training, you will partner with an Account Manager to support customer sales requests and customer configurations
- Develop test and measurement expertise to equip you for your future career
- Work collaboratively with many departments, including sales, marketing, technical support, operations, and business units
- Travel to a customer site to provide a demo and/or product presentations
- Collaborate with our partner and distribution channel
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering
- Strong desire to pursue a long-term career in technical sales, marketing, or applications engineering
- Understanding of electronics, computers, and high-level programming languages (C, Python, LabVIEW, etc)
- Ability to relocate to Austin, TX for the summer
- Available for 1 week of travel
- English language competency and effective communication skill
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
