About the Role
Make a meaningful difference by ensuring safe and comfortable environments for individuals with developmental disabilities during overnight hours. Provide support with routines, perform safety checks, assist with personal care, and complete household tasks. Your presence offers peace of mind and continuity of care through the night.
Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals to develop skills in daily living, including communication, social, recreational, self-care, household management, travel, vocational opportunities, and money management, in accordance with an individualized plan of service and safety considerations.
- Provides training opportunities to enhance each person's self-sufficiency in independent living.
- Promotes agency mission, vision, and values.
- Travels between four residential homes to help with staffing needs.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Possess a HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/experience.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation, a NYS driver's license, and a safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

- $18.91 - $20.14 per hour
- +$.50 for floating position
- +$1.00 pay differential for night shift
- +$1.00 pay differential for weekend shifts
