About the Role
Collective is seeking a BDR Manager to build and scale a high-performing prospecting engine. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and scaling a team of BDRs to manage a high volume of inbound leads and ensure pipeline velocity in a rapid, 1-3 day sales cycle. This is a high-visibility role for experienced individual contributors and managers looking to build a scalable sales machine.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and onboard a team of BDRs, establishing a scalable playbook for fast ramp times.
- Own inbound lead response time, qualification rate, and speed-to-lead as core team KPIs.
- Build and refine outbound/inbound prospecting workflows, scripts, and sequences.
- Set and manage weekly/monthly/quarterly pipeline targets and forecast conversion rates.
- Coach reps daily through call shadowing, call reviews, and 1:1s.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimize lead routing, scoring, and handoff processes.
- Utilize CRM and sales engagement data to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
- Build a strong, competitive, metrics-driven team culture in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Test, measure, and adjust tactics in near real-time to accommodate the short sales cycle.
Requirements
- Proven success as an individual contributor BDR/SDR, consistently exceeding quota.
- 2+ years of experience leading a BDR/SDR team, preferably in a fast-paced environment with short sales cycles.
- Experience scaling a team from scratch and implementing fast ramp-up processes for new hires.
- Expertise in triaging and qualifying a high volume of inbound leads quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM and dashboards to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to provide direct coaching and feedback to improve sales representative performance.
- Proactive approach to building sales playbooks and processes.
