About the Role
The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers, including loading, unloading, and providing exceptional customer service. Drivers uphold high safety standards in propane handling and conduct regular vehicle inspections.
Responsibilities
- Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers for customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Leverage technology to monitor and track propane inventory, tank levels, and container sizing.
- Accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers.
- Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports.
- Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues.
- Conduct pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
- Collaborate with the Dispatcher for routing and scheduling information.
- Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately.
- Work overtime hours when business needs require it.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
- Current DOT medical certification
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
- Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future.
