About the Role
This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer to join VCCP Health in London. You will be the primary medical writer across key accounts, collaborating closely with copywriters and the strategy team to deliver a range of materials. Responsibilities
- Develop compelling, scientifically rigorous, compliant messaging for promotional materials including eDetail aids, congress stands, HCP & patient educational programmes, leavepieces, websites and digital content.
- Analyze clinical data and scientific papers to extract key insights, informing messaging and communication strategy.
- Take full ownership of key accounts, ensuring all materials are aligned and maintain a consistent style and tone.
- Serve as the primary medical expert for accounts, fostering strong, collaborative relationships with internal team members.
- Conduct thorough literature searches and data trawls for pitches and create clear scientific backgrounder documents.
- Actively participate in client meetings and confidently present work externally.
- Provide guidance and support to more junior medical writers.
Requirements
- An advanced degree in the life sciences with relevant medical writing experience within promotional medical communications.
- A strong passion for medical communication and the ability to communicate complex scientific ideas simply and clearly, both in writing and verbally.
- Extensive experience working on a wide range of deliverables in medical communication.
- Confidence in presenting to clients and participating actively in meetings, building rapport and probing client objectives.
- Experience proposing the development of new materials and content based on a deep understanding of brands, scientific data, and strategic goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the full team, including account handlers, copywriters, and art directors.
- Ability to work across multiple therapeutic areas and manage workload under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident with ABPI guidelines.
- Experience using Veeva Promomats.
